The Battle Grows Stronger

Days Until the Election

One week from now the battle will be strong. Some believe this battle will be stronger than even before. Other believe this battle may take a violent turn. Still, others believe this battle will not be over for a few more weeks.

The battle that I speak of is the election.

A week from today, millions of our country’s citizens will head to the polls to cast their vote for the candidate or candidates they feel best to hold a position of leadership. Others may use this time to write in another name.

This week will be a battle.

The battle for many began weeks ago as people made known their voices regarding the election. Each day, political messages and opinionated updates fill the screens of our lives. From our phones to our television sets, messages are growing daily.

In the next few days, these messages may grow stronger, but do not let them impede your spirituality.  Each person was created for greater things, and we should let nothing bring us down. We must strive on.

The world wants us to fret and to stop our spiritual walk….but not God.

God has given us His armor to wear each day. As we battle against the forces of this world, may we always be clothed in the full armor of God.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.

To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

(Ephesians 6:10-20)

Do not let the fiery darts of an election make their way through your armor.  Clothe yourself in the FULL ARMOR of God and you can withstand the things of the world.

Remember, praying is part of the armor of God. Christians must use their communication with the Father during this battle time. You can do this.

God has given this armor to you today, are you wearing it?

God has given you a way to communicate with Him on the battlefield, are you praying?

Let us bond together and hold the line as the battle rages. We know that we will overcome because God is in control.

Let us unite in our armor.

In the next 41 days, will you pray for the future of our country?

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, millions of our country’s citizens will enter the voting booth and vote for candidates. While most will focus on the 2020 Presidential Race, there are several other elections going on as well. May each of us be mindful as Election Day grows closer.

Father, today we ask that You fight for us. As You fought for the Israelites, may You fight for us. Father, we know the outcome of the battle is victory, but we can become discouraged as we see the tangible things of this world. You know our wants and our needs. Father, we ask that You give us reassurances and hope today.

As we clothe ourselves in Your armor, my we stand firm. May we unite with our brothers and sisters upon Your words, and may we stand fast against the things of this world.

Father, we need You. Be with us.

In Jesus’ name we ask these things, amen!
