Pray for our Nation and Its People

Days Until the Election

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.
(Psalms 33:18-19)

Today is the beginning the week. It is the day Christians assemble to worship the Almighty God. During the worship time together, Christians seek to clear their mind of worldly things to focus on the awe of God.

Today, let’s pray for the nation that our leaders, its current citizens and its future citizens, including ourselves, that we may all remember God and seek His presence.

Let the words of Psalm 33.12-22 be a reminder.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom He has chosen as His heritage!

The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds.

The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His steadfast love, that He may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in Him, because we trust in His holy name.

Let Your steadfast love, O LORD, be upon us, even as we hope in You.

(Psalms 33:12-22)

Our Majestic Father, with grateful hearts we come to You and ask that we remember Your great works and Your Holy Name.  May those reminders serve as motivators for our constant growth toward you.

Father, we pray for our nation. We pray that those in our nation, and those in our nation’s future, will look to You. We pray they will seek You and follow Your will.

Today, Father, we seek Your face.

In Jesus name…Amen!
